If I were running CX I would devote more attention to returning cabin service, meals and IFE to pre-flu 5 star standards. B class meals are sad. How about banning the on-duty in-air use of smartphones by cabin attendants to play candy crush. If they are bored how about cleaning restrooms and offering regular walk-around, inflight beverage service. Or even upping crew pay to retain higher quality staff. Have headquarters customer service representatives respond to Asiamiles inquiries. Allow a “free hold period” on unpaid reservations as before. Earning gold status annually for many years is at my own expense. I can spend my money on any carrier. Make passengers like me happy customers.
